How do I open the AI planner? +
Open any bed in the Garden Designer and tap AI Auto Plan at the top.
How do I plan for a later month? +
At the top of the planner, change Planning for from this month to any of the next three — say September for a fall garden while summer crops are still in. It then judges each crop by that month’s weather, not today’s.
How do I choose which crops it uses? +
The planner ticks the best crops for the season for you. Untick any you don’t want, or tick others you’d like to try. Deselect All clears the list.
How do I get more (or fewer) kinds of crops? +
Move the Variety slider. Focused uses 2 crops, Balanced uses 6, and Full Mix uses everything you ticked.
What do the four planning modes do? +
Balanced Layout shares the space evenly. Maximum Yield gives more room to crops that produce the most, fastest. Low Maintenance uses easy crops only. Companion Focused packs in good neighbours, and may add a helper plant to make more pairs.
I don’t like the plan. What now? +
Tap Try Another for a fresh layout with the same settings, or Back to change them.
How do I use the plan? +
Tap Apply Plan. It goes into the designer, where you can move or swap anything. Tap Save when you’re happy.
Will it wipe what’s already in my bed? +
Applying replaces the seasonal crops in the bed. Perennials and plants you’ve already harvested stay where they are. Nothing changes until you tap Apply Plan.
Does it work for pots and row gardens? +
Pots get one crop — the best fit for the pot. Hydroponic beds only get crops that grow well in water. Row gardens aren’t supported yet; fill those a row at a time in the designer.
How many plans can I make? +
Each plan uses one AI credit — that includes Try Another. Pro gives you 10 a day, up to 150 a month, and they reset daily.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does it send my garden to ChatGPT or another AI company?
No. The planner is EdenVatika’s own planning engine, built on gardening rules and your own garden’s data. Your beds, location and harvests are never sent to an outside AI service.
How does it know what suits my area?
It uses your location and hardiness zone: your frost dates, the live 7-day forecast, and the expected heat and cold while each crop grows. A crop that would bolt in the heat or freeze before harvest is left out, and the plan tells you why.
Does it get better over time?
Yes. Once you’ve logged harvests, crops that did best for you in that bed get first pick, last year’s crop families are skipped for rotation, and pests that keep coming back are flagged.
Is it free?
The AI Garden Planner is a Pro feature. Every new account gets a free Pro trial, so you can try it before you pay — no card needed for the trial.
Can I still plan by hand?
Always. The planner is a starting point. The Garden Designer on the free plan lets you place every plant yourself.
