Perfect to plant

What can I plant right now? It’s the first thing you see.

Plant Info opens with the plants that suit this month in your zone — each with a short note: “Last call for fall — about 52 days to frost, sow now”, or “Start indoors now, plant out in about 2 weeks”.

It warns you too: “Heat stress risk” or “Cools below freezing before harvest”. Step to any month to plan ahead, and tap Easy if you’re just starting.

  • Uses your hardiness zone, frost dates and expected temperatures.
  • With Pro, it also remembers you: “You grow this well in fall” — or “Tried 3× with no harvest yet”.

Good neighbours, with reasons

Not just “plant basil with tomatoes” — but why.

Every companion comes with a reason you can understand: basil improves flavour and keeps pests away, marigold repels nematodes and aphids, fennel holds tomatoes back.

The same list powers the green and amber outlines in the Garden Designer, so what you read is what you see while planting.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How many plants are in the library?
174 plants — 65 vegetables, 29 fruits, 24 herbs and 56 flowers — and more than 770 named varieties.
Is the Plant Library free?
Yes. Browsing, searching, Perfect to Plant and every plant’s full page are free. Pro adds your own custom plants, choosing varieties when you plant, and notes from your own growing history.
Does Perfect to Plant know my climate?
Yes. It uses your hardiness zone, your frost dates and the expected temperatures, and warns you about heat stress or cold nights before harvest. It works in both hemispheres.
Why can’t I find a plant by its local name?
Local names follow the country in your settings, so you see the names used where you live. Searching the common English name always works too.
Where does the information come from?
Each plant has a written growing guide, spacing, timing and companion data in EdenVatika. The same data drives the Garden Designer, the Planting Calendar and the AI Garden Planner, so everything agrees.
