    What it’s worth

    Every harvest, in grocery money.

Each time you log, EdenVatika works out what that harvest would cost in the shops — and adds it to your total for the year.

It uses your country’s money ($, CA$, £, A$ or ₹). If your local shops are pricier or cheaper, set Lower or Higher in Settings.

    Guide

    Harvest Log, how do I…?

    Short answers. Tap a question.

    How do I log a harvest? +
Open My Plants, tap the plant, then Log Harvest. Pick roughly how much, how good it was and what you’ll do with it, and tap Log Harvest.
    I don’t have a scale. What do I pick? +
Just pick the closest: a Handful (about 150 g), a Bowl (about 500 g), a Basket (about 2 kg) or a Bucket (about 5 kg). Close is good enough.
Can I count instead of weighing? +
Yes. Type how many pieces you picked — 6 tomatoes, 3 courgettes. The app works out the weight from the average size of that crop.
How is the “groceries” value worked out? +
Weight × what that crop costs per kilo in the shops. Prices are shown in your country’s money — $, CA$, £, A$ or ₹.
Prices are higher where I live. Can I change that? +
Yes. In Settings → Grocery Prices Near You, choose Lower, Typical or Higher. Your estimates follow it from then on.
I’m saving seeds from this harvest. +
Choose Seeds under “What will you do with it?”. After saving, the app offers to Save as Seed Packet — so the seeds go straight into My Seeds.
How do I log cut flowers? +
Same button. For flowers it asks how many stems you cut, and the uses change to Bouquet, Dry, Share, Seeds or Compost.
The plant is finished. How do I clear it? +
For flowers — and for late plantings on the Calendar’s Needs Attention list — the harvest form has Mark Complete & Clear Bed. It logs the last harvest and frees the space in one go.
Where can I see all my harvests? Pro +
In the Garden Journal — filter it to Harvests. Charts of totals and value are in the Analytics tab.

    FAQ

    Questions, answered

    Is the harvest log free?
Yes. Log as many harvests as you like on any plan, and see the grocery value every time. Pro adds charts and comparisons in Garden Analytics.
Do I need to weigh everything?
No. Handful, Bowl, Basket or Bucket is enough. If you do weigh, you can enter the exact amount in grams, kilos, ounces or pounds.
Where do the grocery prices come from?
Typical supermarket shelf prices per kilo for each crop, converted to your country’s money. It’s an estimate — which is why you can nudge it Lower or Higher in Settings.
    Why bother logging harvests?
Because you see what your garden is really worth, every time you log. And with Pro, your best crop in each bed shows up when you plan that bed again.
